In 2020 ApuliaKundi Srl in partnership with Andriani SpA, a reality that has always been committed to the challenge relating to environmental sustainability, launched a circular economy project in cooperation to respond jointly to this challenge through the proposal of a sustainable development model.
In fact, the two companies have developed an innovative entrepreneurial solution for producing Spirulina with the aim of preserving the planet's natural resources such as water.
Spirulina, the food of the future
Considered since ancient times "The Food of the Gods", Spirulina is a blue-green microalgae. It is characterized by a high nutritional value and a low environmental impact, so much so that it is defined by the FAO as "the food of the future".
Cultivated in Puglia in a completely natural way and in a controlled environment in order to guarantee extremely high quality standards, the micro algae, after being collected from the production tanks, is cold dried in order to preserve its nutritional characteristics. It is subsequently used as an ingredient in pasta to increase the nutritional content as it is naturally gluten free.
